About this guide and who publishes it
The Broward Waterfront Guide is a free reference for Broward County waterfront owners. It is published by Fort Lauderdale Seawall Repair, a lead-generation and assessment business based in Fort Lauderdale. We say that on every page because it matters for how you read the guide.
Who runs this site
- Fort Lauderdale Seawall Repair arranges on-site assessments and connects owners with licensed, insured contractors. It does not do licensed contracting work itself, and nothing here claims a contractor license.
- The guide has no named author. Pages are written by the editorial team and checked against the sources listed on each page.
- Links from this guide to ftlseawallrepair.com are marked as sponsored (
rel="sponsored nofollow") and tagged so we can count visits. The "Sponsored" boxes are advertising for our own business. - When you send a request through this site, we may pass it to a contractor who can do the work. The form says so before you send it. See the privacy policy.
- Contact: (754) 484-1777, [email protected]. There is no public office.
How we verify what we publish
- Every factual claim is recorded in a data file with its source link and the date we checked it. Pages are built from that file, and each page ends with the list of sources it used. The full list is on Sources and updates.
- Primary sources before secondary ones. Rules come from the code text or the agency page. When a code section cannot be read at the source, we say so or omit the point.
- Costs are ranges with the seller named. Contractors and guides that sell the work publish most cost figures. We show them side by side, say which is which, and never present a range as a quote or an average for your property.
- Something original on every page, such as a calculator, a decision tool, a comparison across sources, a printable checklist, or live NOAA data.
- A small site on purpose. We publish a few pages at a time, watch whether people use them, and merge or remove pages that do not earn their place.
- Corrections. If you spot something out of date, email us. We re-check fee schedules and code sections monthly and log changes on the updates page.
What this guide is not
It is not legal, engineering, insurance or contracting advice, and it does not replace a permit review by your city or the county. Rules change, and your property may be treated differently from the examples. Confirm with the agency before you act.
